Project Description

With a detail level consistent with a fast paced environment, the initial directive for this project was "we need a website to post videos on for [this event]."

The dilemma here was in the fact that each version of the website had a deadline mere hours after it was assigned. It quickly became clear that we needed a plug-and-play format for web development.

The "SGA Extra" system was created on the premise that the "template is king". All dimensions and margins were identical from one site to the next with only images being substituted. In addition, a rudimentary content management system was created to allow video technicians to post performances to the site in real time and with no web development experience required.

As with many of my other projects, I'll let the results speak for themselves. The UCF "SGA Extra" program was praised by University administrators and students alike, receiving thousands of hits on the first day of its operation.

In the end, The UCF "SGA Extra" program allowed thousands of UCF students and their families to view the performances of a vibrant and talented UCF nation.
